It is always a pleasure to knit but having the right atmosphere does make a huge difference. I am in upstate NY this weekend visiting my family and this is by far the most enjoyable place to knit. Let me describe it to you. Surrounded by family sitting on the back porch enjoying my sister’s beautiful garden. The East Branch of the Delaware River flowing by as we talk, catch up on things and laugh. If it gets a little chilly I can throw a blanket on my lap and keep knitting. This is so pleasurable in so many ways.
I am working on a pair of socks for my Sis right now and hoping I can finish them before I leave. The pattern is Porifera Socks by Miriam Felton using the leftover Lorna’s Laces Solemate I made her Against the Current Shawl with.
